Hey There,
Happy Thursday! I hope you’re all having a great week.
The campaign for This Comic Kills Fascists Dos has ended (but late pledges are still open) and we smashed it! We ended up raising over double the funding goal! I’m so proud to be a part of this amazing project from Apollo City Comics, and so grateful to everyone who supported it! If you backed the book, or if you support it before late pledges close, I can’t wait for you to read it.
And I want to say thank you again to everyone who took my recent survey. I’ve been going over the results and it’s so interesting to see the kind of content you’re most excited about! I’m in the process of doing some brainstorming and figuring out exactly what I want this Substack to look like going forward, and I’ll be sure to keep you all updated as I make decisions.
Otherwise, things have been pretty quiet around here lately. I’m still dealing with this annoying hip injury, though it seems to be getting better a little bit at a time. I have a physical therapy appointment coming up, so hopefully that’ll help! I know an injury like this can take months to heal, and it’s barely been one month, so there’s nothing out of the ordinary going on, but I’m not very good at being patient!
And as far as project news, I’m still in the middle of my summer of figuring stuff out. My goal for the summer was to intentionally hold off on jumping into new projects in order to give myself some time and space to sort through my thoughts and feelings and determine where I genuinely want to put my creative energy. Overall, I think that’s going well, and I do feel like I’m starting to get a little more clarity. Hopefully, I’ll have some updates to share soon!
That’s it from me for now! As always, you can find me on social, @sarahccomics.
Best,
Sarah
