Hey There!
Happy Thursday! I’m so grateful for the interest you all have in my comic, No Spell Lasts Forever. And I’ve really enjoyed sharing my updates about it with you. But up until now, I haven’t been able to let you know how you’ll be able to read the comic once it’s finished — because I didn’t know myself. But I made the decision this week to start it off as a webcomic, and then pitch it to publishers once we’re a couple issues in. So as soon as the crowdfunding is done and the comic is completed, you’ll be able to read it online right away! As decisions about platforms and timing get finalized, I’ll be sure to keep you updated.
As always, feel free to check out my video update, or just keep reading if that
So this week I’ve been reading Batman: Prodigal (by a number of creators). I’m about halfway through it and I’m enjoying it. It’s the last arc in the long run starting with Knightfall. I’ve really just loved this whole run, actually. I’ve been doing a Batman deep dive for a couple of months now, and I think after Prodigal, I’m going to read some non-Bat stuff for a while. But I have to catch up with the current comics, so I’ll be circling back around sometime soon.
I’ve also been reading a lot of Iron Man for a couple of Marvel.com blogs that will be going up soon. The current run is written by Christopher Cantwell, with artwork from some amazing artists. SPOILERS! I’ve really loved seeing Hellcat regain her psionic abilities. And she and Tony have this snarky back-and-forth dynamic that’s delightful.
As always, I’d love to connect with you in Instagram! Feel free to reach out to me at @sarahcookewriter and @nospellcomic.
Best,
Sarah
