Hey There!
So you’re getting a bonus email from me this week…lucky you ;) Why, you ask? Because we’re now a mere MONTH away from the launch of No Spell Lasts Forever #1 on Kickstarter! It’ll go live on OCTOBER 4, so mark your calendars! Scroll down to see the teaser, it’s the second video in this email. And feel free to keep reading and/or watch my video update for all the other news.
Okay, here it is…the teaser! Feel free to share it anywhere and everywhere!
I had a lot of fun making the teaser. And I had Aimee Hawley’s beautiful art to work with, which made it a breeze!
And in more NSLF news, Elena Ominetti’s gorgeous variant is finished! It’s an homage to the original movie poster for The Big Sleep, which our protagonist Rosette is influenced by. The variant is so pretty! Elena’s artwork is just fantastic. And I’ll be sharing it with you on Thursday, before I show it to the rest of the world, so keep an eye on your inbox!
I also wanted to let you know that I now have a new campaign page on Kickstarter, which you can find here. I know a bunch of you had signed up to follow the campaign on Indiegogo before I switched platforms (thank you so much for that!). Rest assured, I’ve got a record of your subscription and I’ll be sending out a reminder from Substack when the campaign goes live, so you definitely won’t miss out on that notification. That said, signing up on Kickstarter too would be helpful to me because the number of people who do that shows up on the pre-launch page. And if there are already a bunch of people following the campaign before it goes live, that’s one of the little things that can help to build some buzz.
Now that the countdown is on, I’m starting to get nervous! This is my first solo campaign, so of course I’m feeling a little anxious about it. But I’m also really excited, and eager for this thing to kick off!
Well, that’s it for me for now! As always, you can find me on Instagram, @sarahcookewriter and @nospellcomic. And I’ve been more active on Twitter lately, too, @sarahcookewrite.
Have a great day!
Best,
Sarah
