Hey There!
Happy Thursday! I hope you’re having a great week! As always, feel free to keep on reading and/or check out my video for the latest updates.
So the biggest news this week is that Eze has finished the last few pages of pencils for No Spell Lasts Forever #2 and they look awesome! He has been doing the pages in batches, and he’s now moving on to the inks for the last batch. I’m just so excited to share it with you. There’s a new character in this issue and I love Eze’s design for her. And the magic effect looks really cool throughout. I can’t wait for you all to see it!
If you haven’t followed the campaign for it yet, you can do that here. It launches on October 19 and the more people there are following it beforehand, the better it’s likely to do. So following now makes a big difference!
I also pitched Mayfly to a publisher and I’m waiting to hear back, possibly next week. Fingers crossed! And I made some edits to Scorned April. They weren’t huge but I think they were important. I’m now working on updating the pitch document for it, and then I’ll be pitching it around a little more, too.
As far as comics I’m reading, I just read W0rldtr33, by James Tynion IV and Fernando Blanco and I love it! I got attached to Gabriel pretty quickly. It’s creepy because it takes all our fears about the dark corners of the Internet and brings them into the physical world. And the old tech is nostalgic in the best way. I mean, look at that monitor!
Well, that’s it for now. Again, it would be amazing if you could follow the campaign for No Spell Lasts Forever #2. I so appreciate the support!
As always, you can find me on Instagram, @sarahcookewriter and @nospellcomic, and X/Twitter, @sarahcookewrite.
Have a great day!
Best,
