Hi There,
I hope you’re having a great week! As always, feel free to check out my video and/or keep on reading for all the latest updates.
Ok, so in addition to continuing to edit the shorts I’ve been working on, a lot of what I’ve been focusing on this week has been gearing up for the Kickstarter campaign for No Spell Lasts Forever #2!
Y’all! I am so excited for this campaign. In addition to the gorgeous standard cover, Eze is creating three beautiful variants! He also made some awesome digital posters featuring the women of No Spell. And I’ll have buttons and stickers this time around! I don’t have an exact launch date yet but I’m shooting for late summer. I’ll let you know as soon as it’s solidified.
In the meantime, I wanted to share Eze’s Rosette poster with you. How gorgeous is this??
Besides setting up the campaign page and ticking items off the never-ending list of tasks that have to be done to get ready for a crowdfunding campaign, I’ve been working on my shorts. One of them is pretty much ready to go, and the other two are in the final stages of editing. To be honest, I’m pretty proud of them. It’s bananas how much work such a short story can be! But it’s rewarding, too.
As far as comics I’m reading, I finally dove into Batman and Son this week (by Grant Morrison and Andy Kubert). It’s one that I’ve been meaning to read for a long time. Holy crap, Damian is mean at this point, isn’t he!? Luckily that meanness will cool off a bit and he’ll become the loveably petulant bat-progeny we’ve come to know over the years. But Damian and the bat-fam definitely had a rocky start!
Well, that’s it for me this week! As always, you can find me on Instagram, @sarahcookewriter and @nospellcomic, and Twitter, @sarahcookewrite.
Have a great day!
Best,
Sarah
