Hey Everyone!
Happy Thursday! I hope you’re all having a great week. As always, feel free to check out my video and/or keep on reading for all the updates.
Ok, so the exciting news this week is that the second episode of No Spell Lasts Forever #1 is now available to read for free on my Substack and on GlobalComix!
The first episode, which I published last week, seemed to be pretty popular. So if you’re someone who checked it out, thank you so much! It really means a lot. And if you know of anyone you think might be interested in the story, it would be awesome if you could share it with them!
I’ll be publishing the full first issue of No Spell in five episodes of about 3-5 pages each, one a week for the next month. After they’re all published, I’ll make the full digital comic available to anyone who subscribes to my paid Substack tier, which is coming soon.
In other project-related news, I’m continuing to edit the script for Scorned April. I’m hoping to have those edits done relatively soon, and then I’ll start taking steps to try and get the comic out in the world! I’ll be sure to keep you updated about that!
And as far as comics I’ve been reading, I read Barnstormers, by Scott Snyder and Tulay Lotay, over the weekend and I absolutely loved it! They’re two of my very favorite creators so I expected it to be awesome, and it delivered!
I really fell hard for Bix and Tillie. I love them both as individual characters and together as a couple. When we meet them, they’re both going through difficult stuff and trying to make a break to start a new life. And because of that, they understand and accept one another right away. It’s really sweet, and the way they’re able to immediately form such a deep bond really affected me.
Well, that’s it for me this week! As always, you can find me on Instagram, @sarahcookewriter and @nospellcomic, and Twitter, @sarahcookewrite.
Have a great day!
Best,
Sarah
