Hey Everyone,
Happy Thursday! I hope you’re all having a great week! I’m a little short on time this week so no video. I know it’s been a couple of weeks without a video now, but I promise I’ll do my best to record next week!
First, I want to give you a quick update on the fulfillment for No Spell Lasts Forever #4. The backer surveys are out — if you’re a backer and haven’t filled yours out, be sure to check your inbox.
The surveys give you a chance to select any extra add-ons and to confirm your shipping address if you’re getting physical rewards. Once the surveys have been returned, I’ll send out the digital rewards and place the order for the physical comics. So fulfillment is moving right along!
This past weekend was a lot of fun for me. I had a table at SPACE, the Small Press and Alternative Comics Expo here in Columbus. It’s my second time doing the show and I really enjoyed it. I’ve been connecting more and more with other creators in the Columbus comics community, and it’s really lovely to be at a point now where I see familiar faces at these local shows.
Due to a few factors — the Columbus College of Art and Design, Ohio State’s art programs, the Billy Ireland Cartoon Library and Museum, and Cartoon Crossroads, which attracts some very high-profile creators — Columbus really has a thriving comics community. And it’s really wonderful to be a part of it. Check out my table!
As far as stuff I’m reading, I just finished Sweeney Boo’s Over My Dead Body. It stars a girl doing witchy things in a mysterious, academic setting, so basically it ticks all the boxes for me.
And I started reading Batman: Officer Down. It’s one that has been on my list for a while and I’m enjoying it!
Well, that’s it from me for now! As always, you can find me on social @sarahccomics, and I hope to connect with you there!
Best,
Sarah
