Hey Everyone!
Happy Thursday! I hope you’re all having a good week! As always, feel free to check out my video and/or continue reading for all the updates!
This week has been a little hectic because I’ve been getting ready to move to a new house. It’s just a couple hours away, so not too far. But still! Moving is always stressful. I’m looking forward to getting settled in the new place, though! I’m going to have an actual home office (woot!) where I’ll keep a bunch of my comics, Funkos, and action figures, so I’ll be sure to share some pics!
Ok, so if you backed No Spell Lasts Forever #1 on Kickstarter, your digital rewards were sent out this week! That’s except for the digital version of the comic, which will be coming your way in January, when the art is complete. I sent the links to get your rewards in Kickstarter messages. So if your reward tier included digital rewards besides the digital comic, or if you purchased any extra digital add-ons, check your inbox for a Kickstarter message from me! I hope you all enjoy your goodies!
I also wanted to share with you another page of Aimée’s inks. She’s working on the flats right now and week after week as she finishes new pages, everything just looks so good!
This is page 20 of the comic. It’s a flashback where we get to see a little of Rosette’s childhood and how she came to live with the Guild. I feel like it’s a really emotionally expressive page. Aimée does such great work with facial expressions and body language.
As far as comics I’m reading, yesterday I read Batman & The Joker: The Deadly Duo #2 by Marc Silvestri and Arif Prianto. I’m enjoying this series. It’s interesting to see Joker in the position he’s in. There’s all this evil scheming going on, but he’s not the one doing it. He’s actually being manipulated himself.
And Jim Gordon, despite being held captive under some pretty terrifying circumstances, is being a real trooper, as always. And that’s why we love him!
Well, that’s it for me for now! You can find me on Instagram, @sarahcookewriter and @nospellcomic, Twitter, @sarahcookewrite, and Hive Social,@sarahcookewrite.
Have a great day!
Best,
Sarah
