Hey There!
I hope you had a good weekend and that your Monday is off to a good start! I just wanted to say a quick hi and ever so gently remind you that we’re just about a week away from the launch of No Spell Lasts Forever #1 on Kickstarter, which goes live on October 4! Here’s a little summary of it in case you missed it before:
All her life, Rosette has been told that her magic is dangerous -- and that it makes her dangerous. So naturally, she's come to believe the worst about herself, and about the world around her. But all that begins to change when she zeroes in on a good soul to target, Sebastian "Bash" Vélez. Bash is a police chief doing his best to fight the corruption running rampant among his officers. Rosette cooks up a plan to spend some time with him in order to corrupt him and save herself. But she's surprised when he turns out to be the first person in a very long time who sees her as more than either a menace or a weapon. Rosette begins to question everything she thought she knew about herself, and about the kind of person she truly is. But what will that mean for her bargain with the devil, and the fate of her eternal soul?
There will be some pretty awesome early bird specials for anyone who pledges in the first week. In addition to your regular rewards, you’ll get Diary of Night #1 by Will Allred, Gene Gonzales, and Rus Wooton, and issues #1-4 of But I’m a Cat Person by Erin Ptah. If you’re into urban fantasy, you’ll enjoy both of these comics! And the first five people to pledge at the $10 tier will get all the rewards of the $25 tier!
Okay, now for the giveaway update! The Bookshop.org gift card giveaway is going really well! Last week, I said if we could get 32 followers on the pre-launch page by this Thursday, I’d randomly select a Killer Tater Tots subscriber to win a $25 Bookshop.org gift card, which you can use to get books and graphic novels. Well, we already surpassed that! We’re up to 38! So, if we can get to 44 followers by this Thursday, September 29, I’ll bump up the value of the gift card to $40. Sign up to follow the campaign here. We can do this!
Well, that’s it for me for now! As always, you can find me on Instagram, @sarahcookewriter and @nospellcomic, and Twitter, @sarahcookewrite.
Have a great day!
Best,
