Hey Everyone,
Happy Thursday! I hope you’re all having a great week. As always, feel free to check out my video and/or keep on reading for all the latest updates.
So the exciting news this week is that the first digital episode of No Spell Lasts Forever #1 is now published and ready for you to feast your eyes on! Each of these episodes will be 3-5 pages, and I’ll be sharing one a week for the next five weeks. So if you didn’t have a chance to back the Kickstarter campaign but you want to read No Spell Lasts Forever #1, your time has come! And if you did support the campaign and you know of someone else you think would enjoy the comic, now is the perfect opportunity to get them hooked!
Find the first episode on my Substack and on GlobalComix.
I know I mentioned Webtoon in an earlier email, but I decided the comic wouldn’t really benefit from its scrolling format.
After all the short episodes have been published, I’ll make the full digital version of the comic available to subscribers of the paid Substack tier that I’ll be launching shortly.
And with that in mind, I’d love your feedback on what kinds of content you’d like to get when you subscribe to the paid tier. Click here to take a one-question survey and let me know. I’d really appreciate your input!
In other news, I’ve been continuing to make some final edits to Scorned April and I’m hoping to have it mostly wrapped up next week. I’m also working on a six-page short that I’ll be submitting to an anthology shortly. And I submitted the pitch for Scorned April to the Negative Space Pitch Competition. So lots of good stuff going on!
As far as comics I’ve been reading, I finished Kingdom Come and it is truly a masterpiece. It really affected me. Watching Superman grapple with his ethics was really fascinating. Plus, we get to see him with a ponytail.
Well, that’s it for me this week! As always, you can find me on Instagram, @sarahcookewriter and @nospellcomic, and Twitter, @sarahcookewrite.
Have a great day!
Best,
Sarah
