Hey There!
Happy Thursday! I hope you’re having a good week. As always, feel free to check out my video and/or keep on reading for all the latest news. And scroll down for the free comic!
Ok, so the big news here this week is that we’ve moved into the new house! It feels good to be mostly settled. We like the house a lot, and the location. And we’re converting the garage into a home office, so I’ll have a nice, new space to work, write, and record. Woot!
In comics news, Aimée is on track to finish up the last batch of flats for No Spell Lasts Forever #1 this week! And then she’ll be moving on to the final colors. I really love seeing her beautiful artwork in my inbox. And we’re getting so close to having the final comic out in the world…I can’t wait!
I also wanted to share a free comic with you as a little holiday gift. It’s a 118-page trade, and the comic is Katrina Hates the Dead, by Russell Nohelty, Juan Frigeri, Thomas Bacon, Fernando Melek, and Bernie Lee. Here’s a little bit about it:
How much would the apocalypse suck? Katrina would say it sucks more than anything has ever sucked...and she's right. That's why she sets out to Hell to kill the devil, so she can get some dang peace and quiet.
If you’re into what I’m doing with No Spell, I think Katrina will be right up your alley!
Download the comic here.
In other exciting No Spell news, Eze Di Savino has created some gorgeous art for the back cover, and I wanted to share that with you. He also created the character art that I used on a lot of the promotional images during the Kickstarter campaign. So here’s his beautiful work! I feel like it just perfectly captures Rosette’s attitude.
And as far as comics I’m reading, if you guessed that it’s more Batman: No Man’s Land, you’d be right! It’s truly a neverending story. I’m up to the fourth collected volume. It’s a pretty massive storyline with a bunch of amazing creators you can check out here.
I’ve been enjoying it. Lex Luthor has just swooped in to supposedly save the day and rebuild Gotham. But of course we know he has something more devious up his sleeve, and I’m looking forward to seeing where that goes.
Well, that’s it for me this week! If you have any holiday celebrations going on, I hope you have a great time!
