Hey There!
Happy Thursday! I hope you’re all having a great week! It has been an awesome first few days for Faster Than Light Vol. 2! The campaign has reached its funding goal…wooohoo!
We’ve also hit our 50-Backer Bonus, which means Chiaroscuro, the story I created with Jersain Cast, Aimee Hawley, and Brittany Matter, will be added to the digital comic. And all backers will get a PDF of the story’s script.
Now, we’re working toward our first stretch goal, which will be unlocked when we hit $1,800. It’s two beautiful digital wallpapers for mobile, with art by Matta Sorcier and Mike Seers.
If you followed the campaign for No Spell Lasts Forever #4, you may remember Matta’s beautiful variant cover. And if you had a chance to check out Faster Than Light Vol. 1, you got to see Mike’s gorgeous variant, and his story, Rabbit Man. They’re both highly talented creators, and I can’t wait to share more of their art with you! Here’s a sneak peek at the wallpapers (the complete images will be revealed when we hit the goal).
To help us reach that goal, now is a great time to back the campaign!
And coming up, we’ve got another stretch goal I’m very excited about. When the campaign hits $3,500, we’ll print the book as a beautiful, perfect-bound trade! I’d really love to see that happen. These stories are all so gorgeous and they deserve the perfect-bound treatment.
That’s pretty much it for project news this week! It has been all Kickstarter all the time around here.
As far as stuff I’m reading, I’m continuing on with Nona The Ninth and still really enjoying it. Nona is such a different character from Gideon and Harrow, the protagonists of the first two books in the series, and the book has a bit of a different feel as a result. But it still feels like it fits in the Locked Tomb world and I’m excited to see where the story goes.
That’s it from me for now! As always, you can find me on Instagram @sarahccomics. And it would be amazing if you might consider backing Faster Than Light Vol. 2!
Best,
Sarah
