Hey There!
Happy Thursday! I hope you’re all having a great week!
I want to start off by sharing a little preview of Cover A for Faster Than Light Vol. 2. The art is by Charlie Ragnarok, with logo treatment by Tim Daniel of Second Rocket Comics.
I’ll be sharing the full cover, along with the variants, as we get closer to the campaign and I can’t wait for you all to see everything!
As I’ve mentioned in previous emails, the pre-launch page for Faster Than Light Vol. 2 is live! If you have a minute to follow it, that would be super helpful. Campaigns that have more followers on launch are likely to do better overall. I’m so excited for this campaign, and I’m really looking forward to sharing all of the beautiful stories by the very talented contributing creators.
In No Spell Lasts Forever #4 news, the comics have finally shipped! The printing process took a little longer than usual this time, due in part to the fact that they’re UV coated (which is worth it, the coating is so pretty!) and in part just to general admin stuff. But the books are on their way to me now, and I’ll start getting them sent out to backers as soon as they get here.
And also! Along with Carl Bourne, I have a short called Betty & the Ogre in the fantastic, second volume of the modern fantasy anthology Concrete Arcanum, edited by Nathan Lueth. Here’s a preview:
If you backed the first volume of Concrete Arcanum, you may remember the story I contributed with Sara Setna, Olive and the Ogre. Betty is set in the same world.
This is going to be a beautiful, hardcover, 220-page book with 30 stories. The campaign has some exciting rewards, and it’s live on Kickstarter now!
That’s pretty much it for project news this week. I’ve also been working on some editing and outlines, and hopefully I’ll have more to share about those projects soon. But as of now they’re all still in process.
As far as stuff I’m reading, I just picked up Dancing at the Pity Party by Tyler Feder from the library. I don’t know much about it, but I’m a sucker for a graphic memoir! I’ll let you know my thoughts as I get into it.
Well, that’s it from me for now! As always, you can find me on social @sarahccomics, and I hope to connect with you there! And again, if you have a minute to follow the pre-launch page for Faster Than Light Vol. 2, it would be much appreciated!
Best,
Sarah
