Hey There!
Happy Thursday! I hope you’re having a great week! As always feel free to watch my video and/or keep on reading for all the latest.
Wow, what an amazing start to the campaign for my sci-fi anthology, Faster Than Light! We launched on Tuesday and we’re already about $400 over the funding goal! A HUGE thank you to all the backers! I so appreciate your support!
We’re also well past 50 backers, which means everyone who pledges will get a PDF of the script for The Chasm: A Mayfly Story, the short I wrote for the anthology. And now we’re working toward our next stretch goal, which we’re less than $200 away from! When the campaign reaches $1,800, all backers will get a gorgeous, 3D digital poster by Allen Forbes featuring the two main characters of The Chasm! Here’s a sneak peek:
If you backed the last issue of No Spell Lasts Forever, you received one of Allen’s digital posters featuring Rosette, so you know how awesome they are!
I want to say again how proud I am of this project. It’s really an honor to be entrusted with the work of such talented creators, and I can’t wait to share their stories with you!
If you’re thinking about backing, now is a great time to do it because campaigns that have a strong first few days are more likely to do well overall.
Ok, I think that’s all my project news this week! As far as stuff I’m reading, it’s not a comic but since I mentioned a while back that I was reading Gideon the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir, I wanted to let you know I’ve moved on to the sequel, Harrow the Ninth. So far I absolutely love it, too! For so much of Gideon, Harrow was this impenetrable force and it’s interesting to see her in a more vulnerable place, but still holding onto her pride and her strength. There’s also some humor like there was in Gideon, but it comes from Harrow’s disdain for….honestly most people, so it has a slightly different flavor from Gideon’s sense of humor. The next book after this one is Nona the Ninth and there’s a fourth book coming out soon and I can’t wait to read them all!
Well, that’s it from me for now! As always, you can find me on social I hope to connect with you there! And again, I’d so appreciate it if you’d consider following Faster Than Light!
Best,
Sarah
