Hey There!
Happy Thursday! I hope you’re having a good week! As always, feel free to check out my video and/or keep on reading for all the latest!
So I want to start off with a quick reminder that the pre-launch page for my sci-fi anthology, Faster Than Light, is live! If you have a minute to follow it, it would be super helpful! The campaign goes live on September 3 and the more followers it has on launch, the more Kickstarter will prioritize it.
And on that note, I have exciting news! I received a really wonderful response as far as the stories that were submitted, so much so that we’re planning to do a second volume next year!
And I also want to announce the amazing creators and stories that will appear in Volume 1:
Binary Ghoul
Story, Art, & Letters by Charlie Ragnarok
The Chasm: A Mayfly Story
Story by Sarah Cooke
Art by Kieran X Quinn
Letters by Lyd Monette
Edited by Brittany Matter
Lyzzara’s World
Story & Letters by Adam Matthew Smith
Art by Dee Hausner
Rabbit Man
Story, Art & Letters by Mike Seers
Radiant Ties
Story by Patrick Hayes
Art by Dom Monette
Letters by Lyd Monette
Refuge
Story by Benn & Allan Liska
Art & Letters by Dan Butcher
When You’re Here, You’re Family: A Circadia Short
Story by Mike Tjaden
Art & Letters by Billy Diamond, Jr.
XP
Story by Brittany Matter
Art by Jen Vaughn
Letters by Nathan Kempf
I’m so excited about all of these stories! They’re really wonderfully told, and the art is gorgeous. And since the theme is family, both families of origin and found families, I loved seeing the different takes all of the creators had on that. I can’t wait to share them all!
As far as stuff I’m reading, I just started the second volume of My Favorite Thing is Monsters by Emil Ferris. There really is nothing else quite like it. Both the storytelling and the art are so out of the ordinary. I loved the first volume and I’ve been eager to dive into the second, and so far it has not disappointed!
Well, that’s it from me for now. As always, you can find me on Twitter, Instagram, and Threads @sarahccomics. And I’d be so grateful if you’d consider following Faster Than Light!
Best,
Sarah
