Hey There,
Happy Thursday! I hope you had a lovely New Year. As always, feel free to watch my video and/or keep on reading for the latest updates.
The biggest project news this week is that the physical copies of No Spell Lasts Forever #2 have been shipped! So if you backed the campaign at the physical level, your comics should be arriving soon!
Other than getting those out, I’ve been working on a couple things this week. I finished the outline for a short I’m writing for a horror anthology and I reworked the outline for a horror series I’m hoping to pitch this year. I also registered for a couple of local cons — the Mid-Ohio Local Author Book Expo and the Small Press & Alternative Comics Expo. They’re both very indie-centric and I’m looking forward to tabling at them!
I also wanted to let you know my @nospellcomics Instagram handle and my @sarahcookewrite Twitter handle will be changing soon. I’ll be sending out another email about that shortly.
As far as comics I’m reading, I picked up W0rldtr33 #6 and I’m continuing to really enjoy the series. When I was a kid, there was a lot of sci-fi about the Internet turning evil in one way or another and coming after us all. The one that stands out in my mind the most is the X-Files episode “Kill Switch”. W0rldtr33 feels to me like the descendant of that brand of sci-fi. It harkens back to those stories and updates them based on the Internet as we know it today.
Well, that’s it from me for now. Have a great day!
Best,
Sarah
