Hey There!
Happy Thursday! I hope you’re having a great week! As always, feel free to check out my video and/or keep on reading for all the latest.
The first thing I wanted to share this week is that I’m excited to have a preview of No Spell Lasts Forever #1 in the Inspired Ink Anthology from Comix WellSpring, alongside the work of some other very talented indie creators. Check it out for free here!
Also, we’re getting closer to the MAY 28 launch date of No Spell Lasts Forever #3! The pre-launch page is live on Kickstarter. Now is a great time to follow the campaign because the more followers it has when it launches, the more the Kickstarter algorithm prioritizes it. So if you’d like to help me do everything possible to set the campaign up for success, following now is an awesome way to do that!
With the campaign coming up, I wanted to share more of Eze’s work! These are the sketches for pages 3 and 4. I’m so excited to share this comic!
Other than No Spell stuff, I’ve been working on outlining another story that I’ve got in the works. This phase of the process is a lot of fun and also challenging at times. It’s all about figuring out how the puzzle pieces of the story fit together, and reverse-engineering them to get them to fit the way you want.
And a reminder that submissions are open for Faster Than Light: A Sci-Fi Anthology About Family. It’s the project I’m editing with Lesser Known Comics, and I’m accepting submissions through July 31. All instructions are on the submission page. I’d love to see your stories!
As far as comics I’m reading, I tabled at the Small Press and Alternative Comics Expo a couple weeks ago and I want to share the work of some of the creators I connected with there. One of the comics I really enjoyed is called Ramsay Tales by Carl Lucas. It’s about Gordon Ramsay if his show catered to demons. It’s funny and clever and I recommend checking it out!
Well, that’s it from me for now. As always, you can find me on Twitter, Instagram, and Threads @sarahccomics. Have a great day!
Best,
Sarah
