And that's a wrap!
Hey There!
Happy Thursday! I hope you’re having a great week! As always feel free to watch my video and/or keep on reading for all the latest.
So the Kickstarter for Faster Than Light, my sci-fi anthology with Lesser Known Comics, ended last week, and I’m so excited to see the enthusiasm for the book! We more than doubled our funding goal, and hit both of our stretch goals! A HUGE thank you to everyone who backed it, I can’t wait for you to read it!
This is my first time spearheading a project that involves so many creators, and I’m really proud of how this book turned out. It meant a lot to me that these talented creators entrusted their work to me!
Next, I’ll be sending out backer surveys and placing the order for the physical comics. My hope is to have them shipped out before the holiday season gets into full gear.
Other than Kickstarter stuff, this week I’ve mostly been working on my Mad Cave shorts. They both involve licensed characters, and it has been super interesting to write for characters who are already well-known. And also really interesting to see the kinds of things licensors prioritize when it comes to their characters. I feel like it’s been a great growing experience for me and I’ve really enjoyed it!
As far as stuff I’ve been reading, I just checked out Junji Ito’s Frankenstein — perfect for spooky season! I’ll let you know my thoughts as I go along.
That’s it from me for now! As always, you can find me on social I hope to connect with you there!
Best,
Sarah
